Starting a Bullet Journal #3

Hello and welcome back to the 3rd post in my Bullet Journal series.
For those who don't know this month I have been planning, preparing and researching all things bullet journal before I start my first ever one in July.

To find out more or to see where we are up to then check out these posts.

Starting a Bullet Journal #2

In the last week I have been going doodling crazy. No joke, any piece of paper I can get my hands on I have been so creative and going doodling mad. This is one of the things I love about the Bullet Journal already and this is a chance for me to be creative. I use to be so creative but more recently I have just stopped and being able to pick up a notepad and pen and just doodle has been so therapeutic and so good for me.

I have found a lot of inspiration from Pinterest and have gone pinning crazy. I have loved seeing what other people have done and there ideas. I definitely encourage you to check out Pinterest and check out my bullet journal board here.

From going pin crazy I just found an old notepad and started to mess around with ideas and plans.

Here are some of the doodles and ideas I had.

As well as all the doodling I have also started to work on a general index that I would like and how I want my Bullet Journal to work.

I knew I would enjoy the whole process of this Bullet Journal malarkey but I didn't think I would enjoy it this much. Seriously, too much fun.

This week my plan is to start filling out my notebook and setting it up ready for July.

Any ideas, link, youtube videos on Bullet Journals hit me with those links I would love to check them out.

Have a great day.

Essential Apps for a Blogger

So I haven't been blogging for long but in that time I have found some apps that have helped me so much when it comes to blogging and sharing my blogs on social media.

So here we have it, my top 7 apps that have been super helpful in finding my blogging feet.

On my phone I have my Leeny Loves folder and in there is all of my blogging apps. All these apps are available on the app store for iPhones or iPads i am not sure if they are available for any other devices.

I love Bloglovin. For those who don't know bloglovin is a place where you can follow all of your favourite bloggers and every time they upload a new post it goes into 'My Feed' so I can scroll up and down and check out every ones latest post. From there I can like post, share them or even save them to a collection I have, I have a collection of bullet journal collection, blogging and a food collection.

This is an app where I can link photos from my phone to the computer without having to send them or email them. When you open up the app it will give you a website URL that you type into the browser bar when you are online. From there it will upload all the pictures from your phone. You can then click and select the ones you want and save them to your computer.
This is perfect for when you take pictures on your phone that you need to add to posts.

My blog is through blogger so having this app works amazing for me. When you open the app you are met with 4 icons. Posts, New Post, View Blog and Settings. From here you can write posts, look at past post. I have found this super helpful and handy when I am on the go to write posts and even edit them if I have noticed a spelling mistake etc.

This is the app I use to schedule my tweets to twitter. The thing I love about this app is that you can publish the tweet for a certain time and date, you can publish it straight away or even publish at the best time. You then have a timeline of all your scheduled tweets for the day.

Bitly is the app I use for shortening my blog links. I head to safari on my phone and load the new blog post. I copy the post and then head to BITLY where it saves the link and shortens it. I then copy the link and head to publish to schedule my tweets or twitter to post about my new blog. When people see my tweets they can then click on the shortened link and head straight to my blog.

I have created my own app here of the blogger website. I head to safari and then loaded blogger and opened the full webpage. From there I saved this to my homepage. I like having this app just so that I can head straight to the webpage and check out the statistics on my blogger page.

Being honest I am still trying to get my head around this app and I am sure that you will be able to help me out on this more. Google analytics help me to get a better time at who is reading my blog, when and for how long. I am still trying to work it out but yeah, this is definitely an app that I would recommend.

So there we have it the 7 apps that I am loving when it comes to blogging, I also love Instagram and Twitter but who doesn't. Do you have any apps that you find helpful that I should try out?

I would definitely love to know.

Have a great day.

Starting a Bullet Journal #2

Hello Lovely Ones.

So for those who don't or who didn't see my last post I want to start a bullet journal. To just catch up and see what the deal is then head over and check out this post, it explains all about what a bullet journal is and what my plans are this month before I start my first one in July. Just to remind you though hopefully every week I will post a 'Starting a Bullet Journal' blog filling you in with what I have done so far and what I am planning on doing next. Feel free to join me and fill me in with what you are doing.

In the last few days I have been watching so many videos on Bullet Journals and today I wanted to share with you some of those videos.

I have loved these videos and found them super helpful.

2016 Bullet Journal Set Up // Amanda Krutsick

From watching these videos and many others I have now started to collate a list of things that I want to cover in my bullet journal this list is made up of things that I have stolen from these videos and just stuff that I think I need to help me be more productive and better organised.

Now that I know what I want to include and cover I want to start looking at designs and ways that people have set out there bullet journals. I also want to create some sort of index order plan.

So I will see you next week to share with you what I have found and what I am loving. Again if you have found any good YouTube videos then send me the links I would love to check them out.

Happy Bullet Journalling.

Being Spontaneous!

Last week I posted in my June Goals that I wanted to be more spontaneous this month and well it has started. Monday is my day off and this week I spent the whole of the day on my own which sometimes I need and want but sometimes being on my own is not always a good idea and today was one of those days.

I was feeling a bit emosh and well having a day at home doing mundane boring jobs did not help me to get out of the funk that I seem to have found myself in. I found myself literally counting down the hours till Andrew cam home so I could just have some company and not be on my own. But you see it was a long day and by the time he got home I was passed it and not in a good mood at all.

But you see I have married so well and as soon as Andrew got home he could see that I needed a distraction and to get me out the house and that is what he did.

The sun was shining and town was filled with people enjoying the last of the weather. People were sat outside pubs, there was families sat on benches eating fish and chips and there was just a laughter in the air that I hadn't heard for such a long time.

We headed straight to Costa to try out there summer menu and I got my self a mint chocolate cooler and I have to say I felt so sick by the end of it but OH MY word it tastes so good and was exactly what I needed.

With our Costa in hand we headed for a walk around the castle in our town. The thing I love about where we live is that there are so many amazing places to walk and so many amazing views for us to enjoy. We wandered around town and as we bumped into other people enjoying the sun people stopped and said hi even though we didn't know who they were, its true what they say, the weather puts people in the best mood.

I sat on a bench with Andrew and we chatted and he listened to me moan A LOT, he is honestly the best husband and I love how he gets me and understands me so much. We wandered around town enjoying the sun and chatting about our plans for the week.

As we walked past the fish and chips shop we smelt the smell. You know that smell of fish and chips and once I had smelt it there was no going back. We had to get fish and chips, well cod bites and chips and they were so yummy. We headed to the river and parked up and ate our tea in the car listening to the sound of people playing in the river.

There is something about being outside and being in the sun that is so good for my soul I just need to remember it. I loved this night so much. I loved that we hadn't planned it and it was spontaneous and it really was wonderful.

So here is my challenge to you.
Go outside.
Sit on a bench and chat with a friend.
Eat fish and chips by the sea or the river.
Go for a walk.

Hope you enjoyed having a peek at my Monday.
What did you all get up to.

Starting a Bullet Journal #1

So I am a huge planner lover and the truth is I am never too far from my faithful spotty Filofax from Paperchase, I love nothing more than spending an evening planning and writing down all I need to do in the week to come and also purchasing stickers for said planner.

Its official, I am a 28 year old girl who loves stickers, especially Dorkface stickers that you can pick up from her etsy store here.

But more recently I am becoming more and more obsessed with Bullet Journals. For those who don’t know what a bullet journal is it is basically a notebook that holds everything, your diary, your expenses, monthly plans, dreams, wish list, shopping list, meal plans LITERALLY anything you can imagine and the great thing about it is that you can design it, decorate it and personalise it how you want. This video explains it so much better

The great thing about bullet journals is that you can use any notebook. There are notebooks out there that are suggested to use but with the bullet journal you can use any you like so I picked myself up this notepad from home bargains for 99p and these snazzy (Did I just use the word snazzy?!) pens from the pound shop.

My plan is that this month I will research, plan and set up my bullet journal all ready to go for July and I thought you know what why not take you guys along with me on the bullet journal journey and maybe you can share with me your ideas as well.

So this is the plan...

*Watch A LOT of Bullet Journal videos on YouTube
*Pinterest Bullet Journals
*Start to collate and write down ideas for pages
*Plan index and page order
*Practice doodles and designs

So maybe you are like me and fancy starting a Bullet Journal, if so why not join me this month in all the plans and preparations for starting my Bullet Journal in July. The plan is, is that I will post a post every week about my bullet journal journey and where I am up to. Make sure you check back every week to find out what I am up to.

If you know of any good links or ideas then send them my way I would love to know your ideas.

Have a good one.

June Goals

June is here and its officially my birthday month!

May to be was beyond busy and pretty hectic, now don't get me wrong it was AMAZING and I loved every second of it but truth being told I am feeling the affects of a busy month this week.

June is also up there on the busy month list with weddings, birthday plans and A LOT of work plans and I am so excited for everything but I am determined to slow the pace down and try and chill out a bit more.

This month I have decided to set myself some goals that I would like to achieve by the end of the month. Some of them are really similar to my 'To Do List' that I posted about at the beginning of the year but some are just specific for where I am right now.

So lets do this lovelies here are my goals for June.

* Drink 2 litres of water a day!
So far so good

* Walk over 10,000 steps a day.

*Go for at least 3 runs a week.
Can you tell I am trying to lose some weight.

*Read a book and complete it by the end of month.

*Take pictures for fun.

*Go for at least one summer walk a week.

*Get my blog on.
I just want to get back into a routine more with blogging and to have fun with it.

*Catch up on all the TV programmes I have recorded.
I want to make this a ultimate night in for Andrew and I. I am thinking takeaway, tv and a fluffy blanket.

*Get back into a proper bedtime routine and get back into being the morning person that I became.

*Be Spontaneous.
This month I have so many plans set in stone that I want to be spontaneous and just do something random, fun and something that is now planned out or written in my diary.

So there we have it, my goals for the month of June. But one thing I also wanted to do was to give myself a quote for the month and I have chosen this...

I want to stand at the end of the month and say that June has been wonderful and all kinds of perfect. I want to achieve my goals and be proud of myself. I want to just have fun and to do wonderful things with wonderful people. So if you see me this month remind me to do something wonderful.

Have you guys set any goals for the month? If so let me know what they are.

Enjoy you Wednesday.

Bedside Table Essentials

Sat here now I am looking at my bedside table thinking I'm doing a whole post on the beauty/bedtime essentials that are on there and let's be honest it's definitely not blog ready it's more in need of a good clean.

Amongst the empty water bottles, odd pack of paracetamol, earrings with no backs and discarded hair grips are my bedtime and beauty essentials.

So picture this with me, It's the end of the day, the face has been cleansed and toned, pjs are on, YouTube is set up on my iPad and Andrew is locking up the house, turning off the lights and making me a drink (he is a good one) now there are just some things that I have right next to me on my bedside table that I would say are essential for me and for a good night sleep and also for my skin.

So here they are.

I can not live with out this eye cream. Seriously. I know it has had mixed reviews but I love it so much and have definitely noticed a difference with the skin under my eye. Just before I go to sleep or even sometimes in the morning I just squeeze some cream on my finger and massage it under my eyes. I have been using this now for around 4 months and in that time I have noticed a difference with the brightness of my eyes and also the feel of my skin.

I picked this serum up from Aldi and although the instructions say to start using this when your are 30 I just decided to start using this now and it is amazing. I love the packaging and the pipet that you use for the serum. The serum is a thick consistency and definitely leaves my skin feeling luxurious and so moisturised. I always make sure I do this on an evening and on a morning if I am having a no make up day and it definitely makes my skin feel brighter. Definitely worth a try as it is so cheap and definitely won't break the bank.

I always like to have some lip balm on my bed side table just to pop on my lips on a morning or just before bed.

Another bedtime essential is my little tub of righteous butter. I love Soap and Glory and I love these little travel size tubs. I use this moisturiser for everything. Most night I just like to have this to put on any dry patches especially my knees and elbows. I don't use it every night but its always good to have there just in case I need it.

Now this is the biggest must have. I have been using this now for around 3 months and honestly I have noticed a difference in my sleep. All I do is spray it on my pillow as soon as I get to bed, sometimes before I clean my face I then have a potter and by the time I have got into bed it has settled into my pillow and ready to go. I am not a good sleeper at all but since using this it has helped me so much to get off to sleep faster. The mixture of the smells and the aroma honestly makes me so sleepy and sends me off into a deep sleep. I can not recommend pillow mist any more. If you struggle to get to sleep then definitely try one.

So there we have it. My Bedside Table Essentials. So what is on your bedside table? I would love to know.

Enjoy the sunshine.
Love Leeny.
