Blogmas Day 15: Christmas House Tour

Happy 15th December.

So today I have decided to do something and try something a tad different.
I wanted to do a Christmas House Tour but instead of taking pictures I wanted to try and make a little video. Truth being told I have always wanted to try something like this and well it is something way out of my comfort zone as taking pictures is so my thing.

So be nice, but here it is My Christmas House Tour.

I had so much fun filming this and putting it together.
I am so happy with how our house looks its so cosy and festive.

Hope you are all feeling festive too.

Blogmas Day 14: A Snow Day

Christmas is so FRICKING close.

I am so excited.

So this week we had a snow day. Like no joke. One day I looked at the weather and well it was fine the next day I looked at the weather and it was snow, 100% snow all day and well that's what happened.

So this is what we got up to on our snow day.

It was Saturday and we had no plans so of course we had a lie in, after that we made a full english and sat on the sofa watching Arrow.

Then the snow started.

Look how pretty it is.

We decided with weather like this we needed a fire.

It was so nice sitting on the sofa watching the snow fall with the fire on. Ahhhhh PERFECT.

But the snow didn't stop and as we saw our whole town just descend into mayhem and all roads into it close we realised that it was pretty crazy out there.

Now as you know I have been ill all week and we had no shopping in so we decided to walk to the shop to collect some supplies.

So with our wellys on off we went.

There was so much snow. But it looked so pretty.

Now a twenty minute walk to the shop turned into a whole hour and a bit adventure. We ended up having to save a lady who had her car stuck in the snow and then my mum rang in a panic and she was stuck too so off we went.

Finally we made it to the shop and back home where we spent the majority of the night eating yummy Christmas snacks and we watched Arthur Christmas and Antman. Both amazing films. :)

The next day though.

So pretty but quite scary. We live on top of one of the biggest hills in our town.

So there we have in our chilled snow day.

Blogmas Day 13: Counting Down to Christmas

So funny story, on the morning of the 1st December between Andrew and I we had no advent calenders and I was a little sad. When living at home every year my mum would get me an advent calendar then this year I didn't have one. But I didn't need to worry because by the evening of the 1st December between Andrew and I we had 6 advent calendars. Ha!

Now half of these are Andrews but half are mine. So here they are the three ways I am counting down to Christmas.

Yankee Candle

I am so in love with Yankee Candle and this is our second year having a calendar from them. Andrews mum bought us this and we love it. This year we have decided to leave all the tea lights till we have finished the calendar or have a few of each. I think its a lot better to burn multiple of one tea light instead of just one, you don't really get to enjoy the smell otherwise.

I love all these fancy calendars but sometimes you just need a good old chocolate one. I love white chocolate it is the best so when Andrew got me this one he chose well. I am not sure how I will cope in the new year when I don't have a little piece of white chocolate to wake up to everyday.
I have had to rip one door off so we know that this one is mine.

Lego Friends

Now I am not a fan of Lego like Andrew so I was quite surprised when I got given this calendar as a gift. At first I was not to bothered but Andrew has two Lego calendars and its become quite a fun thing to do every night, seeing what we have to make. But two problems, I have no ideas what to do with this once I have finished I may give it to my niece, also they are so big, we have three of these and our dining room table has been taken over by them.

So yeah, I am sure these are suppose to be for kids but hey who says you can't have a lego calendar.

So how are you counting down to Christmas?

Blogmas Day 12: Candy Cane Marshmallow Pops

Oh my.

Today for the first time I am feeling super festive. After a week of feeling unwell and in bed or on the sofa, I am finally feeling better. Its true what they say, rest is best.

Today's Blogmas post is a festive foody one. So enjoy.

So to make Candycane Marshmallow Pops you will need...

Once you have all of your ingredients now its time for the fun part.

1. Take your bar of chocolate and break it up into lots of little pieces. Now if you saw my Hot Chocolate Spoons post you will know that in all cases when it comes to baking you always need to try the chocolate or go for the policy of one for the bowl one for me. :)

2. Next you will need to heat up some water in a pan and place the glass bowl of chocolate on top of the pan and melt the chocolate.
Again, once the chocolate has melted make sure you do a taste test. It needs to be perfect doesn't it.

3. While your chocolate is cooling down a little, take your candy canes and break them in half.

4. With the bottom part of the candycanes or any broken bits from the pack place it on some tin foil and crush away. I don't have a rolling pin so used a pan. It did the job.

5. Now its time to grab the marshmallows and pop half of it into the chocolate.

6. After you had dipped the chocolate in the marshmallow you need to cover the chocolate part in candy cane pieces. Once you have pop them in the fridge for 15 minutes or so to set.

7. At this point eat the rest of the marshmallow and melted chocolate. :)

8. One they have set you will need to turn them over so the chocolate is facing down. Its now time to get the other half of the candy cane. When it comes to putting the candy canes into the marshmallow I found it easier to use a sharp knife to cut a hole first.

9. Now its time to make a yummy hot chocolate.

10. The thing I love is that you can hook the candy cane over the side of the cup and let the chocolate and marshmallow melt in the drink.
So good.

Voila, so they you have it. Some very easy Candy Cane Marshmallow Pops.

Let me know if you try it out.
Hope you are having an amazing weekend.
See you tomorrow.

Blogmas Day 11: Ultimate Christmas Tunes

So it has happened. The Christmas playlist has been loaded and the tunes are being played.

Blogmas Day 10: Christmas Day Outfit Ideas

Being ill is not good for my bank balance.
Oh my.
All I have done all day is sit on the sofa and watched Gilmore Girls and gone internet shopping. Because I feel so run down and not great at the moment I decided that I wanted to buy some new clothes for Christmas day. I am the kind of girl who likes to have a new outfit to wear. So with no energy to head to the shops I decided to head to the world wide web in search of a Christmas Day Outfit and here are some things I love and some outfit ideas.

I love this look. I have been desperate for a long top with slits up the side like this for a while so when I found this on Very I fell in love. For me I will definitely wear this top with black skinny jeans and chelsea boots. You will see as we go through the different outfits that Chelsea boots are a fav at the moment.

I am slightly obsessed with ebay at the moment. I have spent so much time going bid crazy on River Island and Topshop bags and slogan t shirts. But here is an outfit that I love and it is so cheap. I love midi length skirts and I think with black shoes and pumps and this t shirt it will be the cute Christmas day outfit.

Oh ASOS you get me every time with your beautiful clothes. I love this relaxed and chilled outfit its perfect for eating a lot of food. Again a big fan of Chelsea boots and I love these cute Christmas nails.

Ahhhh this is such a cosy outfit, the more I look at it the more I want it. But not sure if it is a good idea for Christmas day considering it doesn't take me much to spill food down my top.

I THINK I NEED THIS OUTFIT. I love this denim pinifore and I think with a stripy tshirt it will be so cute.

So there we have it everyone some of my ideas for a Christmas day outfit. I just don't know what to wear or choose. Choices choices choices.

Anyway. I hope you are all doing well and enjoying this festive season.

Blogmas Day 9: Christmas Gift Guide for under £5

Now let me explain before you think I am a massive cheap skate and only buy gifts for under £5.
Is it me or when it comes to Christmas presents do you ever feel like sometimes you just need a extra something, you know you buy the main gift and you think to yourself I will just get them a little something else. Well this gift guide is for those little extra gifts if it is to go along side a few main presents, for stockings or for those secret Santa presents.

If you are from the UK you may have heard of a well known store called Wilkinson. Over the last couple of years Wilkos has slowly upped its game in every way. They have an amazing toy department, kitchen department and home ware. Oh and do not get me started on there stationary section. The even greater thing about Wilkinson is that a lot of there stuff is not expensive.

So all of the things on my gift guides are from Wilkinson. If you can get yourself to a store or even order of line you so should.

So here we have it...

This is the perfect kit to make some Mulled Wine. All you need to do is add some other ingredients and boom. Christmas in a cup.
I am sure we all know someone in our life who loves Batman and well we all have keys.
For the techy ones out there, a device that can go into any USB port and give you 4 more USB ports. I don't get it but I am sure someone would love it.
This looks cool to be honest. In this card you have a bottle opener, ruler, screw driver and some other things. How impressive.
An on the go charger for your mobile. To be honest I could do with one of these.
Again we probably all know a Superman fan too and everyone needs socks.
Randomly, I know boys probably hate to get these sets but being truthful these are essential and they do use them.

Every girl loves a good sign. Why wouldn't they love a good &.
A tea light holder and only £2 I would buy this for someone even if I didn't need to. Sooooo cheap.
Now a pen on its own, LAME. But a pen with gift 5 if perfect.
Again, I don't need to tell you. A candle holder is a perfect £2 gift for any lady in your life. Even your granny.
So gift 3 was just a pen but match that pen up with these notebooks and a perfect gift.
I love this photo frame. I love that it is so different to what you would expect from a normal photo frame.
7. Slate Heart - £2
Who loves a slate heart? ME ME ME. I do.

 1. Craft Monster Puppets - 70p
What a great craft kit for any child and only 70p, working with kids I love a good craft kit.
2. Wooden Jigsaw - £3
This is a boy themed jigsaw but there are so many different types of jigsaws. Basic but fun gift for any little one.
3. Safari Activity Ball - £4
This is a cute little activity ball for any little one with moving shapes and safari animals on.
4. Ladybird Wooden Stack Toy - £4
This is a cute little toy for a toddler girl, i love the colours so much.
5. Super Hero Costume - £2.50
Do they do this in adult size???
6. Sew together animals - £1
Again, another little crafty gift. I love these cute animals and that the pack is only a £1 and comes with all you need.
7. Wooden Rocket - £5
Again really similar to the lady bird stack toy but this one is a rocket so perfect for a little boy.

So there we have it. My extra little gift guide.
Hope you enjoyed it. If you get a chance to go to Wilkinson and see any other cute stuff then let me know.

Blogmas Day 7: My Christmas Tag

Hello everyone and welcome to day 7 of Blogmas. I am so loving all of the blogmas posts and it so making me feel festive. I did have other plans for today but with feeling ill that went out the window.

So today I decided to do the Christmas Tag.

So here is the deal, 10 questions about Christmas and 10 answers from me. I have taken different questions from different tags that I found. So ENJOY.

Can you name all of the reindeers?
With out google???
Ok, here goes. Prancer, Dasher, Cupid, Rudolph??
No I am done.

What is your favourite Christmas movie?
Well my friends. If you have been reading my past Blogmas posts I recently did a WHOLE post on my favourite films. So definitely go and check that out here. But in the last few days I have watched Four Christmases and I AM LOVING THAT. So much.

Do you open your presents on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day?
It has ALWAYS been tradition in our house growing up that we were allowed to open one present on Christmas Eve and it was always new PJs. But as for the rest of my presents always Christmas Day morning.

Favourite festive food?
Hmmmm. I just love all Christmas food. Its amazing how changing the design of a product and sticking a festive design on it makes me instantly want to eat it and buy it.
But I have to say my favourite festive foods are... Quality Streets, Brandy Snaps (Oh yes) and of course Christmas Dinner. I can not wait.

Favourite Christmas scent?
Ooooo, I have a TON of favourite Christmas scents. I am in love at the moment with the Air Wick Cinnamon and Apple smell. It is so nice and I picked it up from the pound shop. I am also in love with a candle from Ikea. I'm not sure what the scent actually is but its like a gingerbread, cookie flavour and its yum yum yum. So yum I could eat it!

To mince pie or to not mince pie?

As a kid what was the one (crazy, wild, extravagant) gift you always asked for but never received?
This is a good question. I remember when I was younger flicking through the Argos catalogue and literally circling every single thing that was in there that I wanted. So I can not think of an exact gift I asked for I just remember asking for a whole catalogue full of things. Ha! Anyone else do the same in the Argos book?

What is your favourite Christmas song?
Christmas is not complete without two people Mariah Carey and Michael Buble. Oh they are my favourite.

What’s the best part about Christmas for you?
The food. I love the food. Ha, ok. Seriously. I love spending time with all my family and friends eating party food and playing board games together. My favourite part of Christmas is definitely just spending time with my love ones. (Sounds so soppy doesn't it.)

You are in a Coffee shop in December, What is your festive Drink?
Well it all depends where I am isn't it. But if its Costa then definitely the Sticky Toffee Latte and if its Starbucks probably the Vanilla Hot Chocolate.

So there we have it, my Christmas Tag. Feel free to do this yourself. If you do let me know I would love to see your answers.

18 days to go.

Blogmas Day 6: Hot Chocolate Spoons

Ok. I have a confession to make.
Are you ready...

Yup, its true.

Up until a few months ago I would say I was very much a coffee girl but recently, especially since it has got colder I just crave Hot but I mean very HOT and very chocolatey Hot Chocolate.

Give it to me in any flavour I will drink it chocolate fudge, salted caramel and even white chocolate.

Now there was no way I could let Blogmas pass with out having a whole post dedicated to my current obsession. So today we are getting our Hot Chocolate spoons on.

If you are a HUGE fan of Hot Chocolate you will love these and they couldn't be easier to make.

Here is what you need...
Milk Chocolate
Fudge pieces

Ok, now you have all the bits you need lets get making.

1. Grab the chocolate and break it up into super little pieces. Once you have all the chocolate broken up, at this point I like to go for the policy of a little for the bowl a little for me.

2. Pop the chocolate into a glass bowl and place on a pan of hot water. I prefer to melt the chocolate this way as I always burn in in the microwave. Be careful though, the bowl gets hot.

3. Once all the chocolate is melted leave it for a couple of seconds while it starts to set.
At the point enjoy some more chocolate.

4. While the chocolate is setting pop the spoon into the bowl and cover. Make sure there is plenty of chocolate on the front and the back.

5. Just before the chocolate is fully sets pop on your decorations. I went for it all.

6. Pop in the fridge till fully set.

Part 1 complete.

Now to enjoy a HOT HOT yummy Chocolate.

1. Heat the milk up in a pan or the microwave.
2. Grab a blanket and a Christmas film.
3. Get yourself comfy and stir that chocolate spoon in the hot milk.

Just a little advice. Keep stirring.
Don't let all that chocolate go to the bottom.

The thing I love about these chocolate spoons is you can easily make them for your self or cover them in cellophane and give them away as a gift. I know I will be this Christmas.

Excuse me why I got and eat the left over chocolate.

19 days to go.
